Costa Rica Saltwater Big Game Fishing
COSTA RICA offers some of the best offshore, big game saltwater sportfishing in the world. Get ready for the ultimate test in landing any of the species we catch which are the mighty Blue, Black and Striped Marlins averaging 300-400 lbs. and occasionally running up to 800 lbs., Pacific Sailfish averaging 100 lbs. each, Yellowfin Tuna from 30-130 lbs., Dolphinfish (Dorado/Mahi Mahi) ranging from 15-75 lbs., as well as Big Eye Tuna and Wahoo!
Inshore, around the rocks, you’ll experience hooking Black Marlin, Sailfish, Grouper, Snapper (Giant Cubera Snapper weighing up to 85 lbs. or the 4 or 5 smaller species including Red Snapper). Everyone loves tackling the infamous Roosterfish, a variety of Jacks (including the HUGE Amberjacks up to 125 lbs.), multiple species of Shark, Pargo Snapper, and Rainbow Runners up to 25 lbs. There is a plethora of fish in these waters!
ALL TACKLE IS INCLUDED, with everything you need to reel in the “big boys”, but feel free to bring your favorite equipment such as medium action spinning gear to assist in bait casting, etc. A packing list can be provided for your convenience upon booking and is very similar to our Amazon Peacock Bass Adventures. Laundry services are provided at the resorts for a fee. Both resorts have drinkable water and no electrical converters are neccessary.
We offer calm-water fishing within the winter and summer months, steering clear of the rain and those northern winds that tend to blow, which is most often in September, October, and November.

Costa Rica Summer Fishing Trip

May & June take us to El Ocotal up on the North Pacific coast of Costa Rica, where for the past 26 years, we have entertained hundreds of satisfied clients with our Big Game Fishing Adventures in yet another calm region of the Pacific. The El Ocotal Resort will be our home for the 5 Day Trip. Here, we fish for 3 days and can expect to catch all the species found in the region including 3 species of Marlin along with Sailfish, Tuna and Mahi Mahi.
The resort sits atop a mountain overlooking the calm Pacific with it's own private beach and choice of 3 swimming pools. This trip includes all the meals, ocean view lodging and 3 spectacular days of World Class Big Game Fishing in sight of land! All this for only $1,895 per person! We fly into Liberia, Costa Rica - a new International airport served by most carriers. Again, if pre or post days are desired, we can make those arrangements for you.
Costa Rica Winter Fishing Trip

Cost: $2,595 per person - 6 Day Trip
We begin each season in January with our annual trip into Quepos Costa Rica.
This is a 6 day Trip. We arrive in San Jose mid-day for an overnight stay at the beautiful Cariari Country Club. The following morning, you are transfered
via charter plane (20 min. flight) over the mountains to Quepos where we
are met and taken to the exclusive Parador Resort for a restful afternoon
and evening.
For the next 3 days we experience the finest Big Game Fishing to be found in
extremely calm water in sight of land. On Day 6, we take the charter flight
back to San Jose in the morning in time to connect with your International
flight home.
Naturally, we can arrange pre and post days if you choose, keeping in mind it is the High Season in this area.
